• The Kasen-Iyengar Japan Adventure!

For spring break in Japan, our grandparents (Rona Allan), the Kasen-Lyengar family (Jon, Anjali, Jai, Padma, Uma, Shreedhar, Our aunt, uncle, cousin, and our aunts parent), Steph and Neil (My aunt and her boyfriend), and us were all there. Traveling with a group of 14 in Japan isn’t easy, but this was a fun experience. Throughout the week we had 2 tour guides, Hiro and Ako, who were exceptional. Because we had such a large group, we mostly traveled by bus. The following posts, up until sushi making are from this adventure!

  • [K-I Adventure] Kyoto Fire Ramen

Not many restaurant get a post made about them, but fire ramen deserves it. At this restaurant, they add a giant flame to your ramen, and it’s hot. Additionally, you get gyoza, chicken, and A5 wagyu sushi with the set. They even give you a t-shirt. What made this meal especially funny was that my little cousin Jai fell off his chair while they were pouring his fire. He was alright though, and we all had a laugh. I thought the ramen was very good too.
